In October 2016, our company participated in the research and development of the insulation recovery characteristics and patrol strategy research technology project for lightning strikes on transmission lines in the Southern Power Grid, which successfully passed the acceptance. It is reported that in the existing line operation and maintenance process, after a fault occurs in the transmission line, the operation and maintenance department must promptly inspect the line to find the cause of the fault. Some faults are usually accompanied by bad weather, resulting in extremely low inspection efficiency and hidden dangers to personnel safety. Therefore, Southern Power Grid has formulated a research project on insulation recovery characteristics and inspection strategies for transmission line lightning strikes.
The successful development of this project has achieved the goal of reducing the number of line inspections, improving inspection efficiency, and reducing operation and maintenance costs while ensuring the safe operation of the transmission line. It has overcome multiple technical difficulties such as the damage characteristics, recovery characteristics, and fault diagnosis technology of lightning strikes on insulator strings in transmission lines. The successful acceptance of the project marks an important contribution of our company in the field of smart grid fault diagnosis, consolidating our important position in the field of smart grid fault diagnosis.
